When designing a dining table, it is important that you set the dimensions to something that will feel comfortable and natural to those using it. Recommended Table Sizes
- As a guideline, the minimum distance between the floor and the table's apron should not be less than 24 inches. This should provide ample room for comfortable seating and space for the knees.
- The height of the table should be between 27 and 30 inches.
- On average, a person needs about 24 inches of elbow room with a 12 to 16 inch reach (14 inches shown in the diagram).
